Student Awards
Student Awards are designed to stimulate interest in gastrointestinal related careers and provide support for research projects. High school, undergraduate, medical or graduate students (not yet engaged in thesis research) at accredited North American Institutions are encouraged to apply.
11 travel awards of $500 each will be given to high school, college, graduate and medical students who have submitted abstracts chosen to be presented during Digestive Disease Week. The three best student abstracts submitted will receive a $1,000 prize. Awards will be presented at a ceremony during DDW.
This program offers awards between $2000 and $3000 per student to spend time performing research in digestive diseases or nutrition for a minimum of ten (10) weeks. The research may take place at any time during the year.
