What is the Review and Selection Process for AGA Research Awards?
Step 1. Upon receipt, applications are reviewed by staff to ensure that all required documents have been provided.
Step 2. Applications are preliminarily reviewed and scored by members of the AGA Institute Research Awards Panel, which utilizes the NIH Score System.
Step 3. A teleconference is convened for final review and selection of the award recipient(s).
Step 4. Applicants are notified approximately ten days subsequent to the review panel's selection.
Is AGA Membership Required to Apply for an AGA Research Award?
With the exception of the Student Research Fellowship Award and Student Abstact Prizes, all applicants must be AGA members at the time of application submission. For more information about AGA membership, please call 301-654-2055 ext. 651 or visit www.gastro.org.
