Linscheer Memorial Fund Established

Willem G. Linscheer, MD, PhD, a longtime member of the AGA, passed away on December 14, 2007 in Colorado Springs, CO. As a tribute to Dr. Linscheer’s work in gastroenterology, Uma Murthy, MD, Professor of Medicine, SUNY Upstate Medical University, established a Named Fund in his memory.

A Strong Foundation For Turbulent Times

The AGA Foundation for Digestive Health and Nutrition distributed almost $3 million in research grants in 2008. Despite the current stormy economic climate, the Foundation aims to distribute the same amount in 2009.
